Overview

Description

This universal USB converter allows users to connect any UART, SPI, I2C, and even the latest I3C devices via flexible cables to a PC using a terminal program or dedicated software. PMOD boards can be easily adapted for use too.

System Benefits:

  • Universal connection of any hardware via USB-UART, USB-SPI, USB-I2C, or USB-I3C via flexible cable connection
  • Best fit for any PMOD, including Renesas Quick-Connect IoT Boards
  • Control and visualization via a standard terminal program on the PC side (alternatively, dedicated PC software can be used)
  • Semi-automatic switching between PMOD Type 2A (SPI), Type 3A (UART), and Type 6A (I2C)
  • Latest I3C mode can also be used on an extra connector
  • Power supply of PMOD control via MCU (5V or 3.3V selectable by software)
  • Integrated regulator down to 3.3V with low noise
